Second hand winter clothes not cheap anymore
With the slow dip of mercury materialising the onset of winters the sale of woollies, including second-hand variety, has increased in different localities of the provincial capital.
All sorts of warm clothing and accessories including gloves, woolen scarves, pullovers, sweaters, and jackets adorn the front stalls and shops in markets as well as weekly bazars in earnest bid to attract buyers.
People from humble income groups throng the weekly 'Sunday bazaars' and 'Lunda bazaars' for cheapers deals.
"The poor people get warm clothes from Lunda Bazars at cheap prices",Ali told APP while standing at the second hand stuff market--Lunda Bazaar.
A customer Nawaz at Naulakha market said that the prices of new winter wears are out of reach. "We, therefore, rush to second-hand clothes stalls where quality clothes are available at affordable rates," he added.
Some customers complained that second-hand clothes were also getting expensive each year. The prices of used clothes are spiralling every year, conceded a shopper at a weekly bazar.
A second-hand clothes dealer said that they were getting this stuff at very high prices from "wholesale dealers" in Lahore and Karachi and hence the spiralling prices.
